The Latest Local News from the Rome News

A Cartersville man has been arrested on several charges relating to a 2014 forgery and theft investigation.

According to Sheriff Clark Millsap:

Terrance Michael White, 18, was charged with one count forgery in the fourth degree and 3 counts of financial transaction card fraud on Thursday.

The case began in October 2014 when a woman noticed a check for 200 dollars had been cashed from her account without her knowledge. She then discovered several unauthorized charges on her credit card.

Investigators then discovered that White had allegedly taken a check from his mother’s residence and provided the stolen check to a third party to cash without their knowledge it was stolen. White then used his mother’s credit card to make unauthorized purchases in October and November.

White was released on an $8,500 bond.
