Two Rome men were being held without bond Thursday night after they were arrested and accused of running a gambling operation in a local convenience store, according to Floyd County Jail reports.
According to the reports:
Parmjit Singh Dhrim, 41, and Jasbir Kumar, 23, both of 711 Trove Drive, received earnings from gambling machines at Victor Food and Grocery Shop, 1324 Martha Berry Blvd.
Dhrim, the owner, paid out cash, gas and other store inventory valued at greater than $5 from seven gambling machines beginning Dec. 3, 2014.
Both men are charged with felony commercial gambling, while Dhrim is also charged with misdemeanor counts of keeping a gambling place, possession of a gambling device, and gambling.
