Standard Journal Pets of the Week, April 29 edition

The Latest Local News from the Cedartown Standard

A pup and a kitty are looking for forever homes in this week’s edition of the Standard Journal Pets of the Week.

A young adult male long-haired tuxedo named Prince is this week’s Cat of the Week. According to volunteers at the Polk County Animal Control facility, Prince is friendly and likes to cuddle and would make a lovely companion. Those interested in Prince can adopt him today. Ask for ID # 26986468.

The Dog of the Week is Sadie, a Bulldog-Bassett mix who is just over six months old and already up to 30 pounds.

Volunteers at Animal Control describe Sadie as having the “short crooked short legs of a Bassett, and the underbite of a Bulldog.”

Sadie can be adopted today by asking for ID # 26963054.

Both Prince and Sadie are available for the standard adoption rates of $25 for a cat and $40 for a dog at Polk County Animal Control.

Call 770-749-8908 for more information about adopting today.

Also look for more information in next week’s edition of the Standard Journal about upcoming performances of the musical “CATS” at the Cedartown Performing Arts Center in the coming weeks.

The performance will benefit the Cedartown Humane Society, who provides the Standard Journal with the Pet of the Week.
