The Rockmart branch of Coosa Valley Credit Union has lost a branch manager to promotion, but gained a new one in the process according to a press release from the bank.
Matt Elrod, formerly the branch manager at the bank’s Rockmart location, is moving up the ladder in the bank and is now vice president of Lending and Member Support at the Credit Union.
Elrod came to Coosa Valley Credit Union from Suntrust Bank in 2012, where he was formerly branch manager and banking officer at their main branch in Rome. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Shorter University.
He and wife Amberly reside in Rockmart with their two daughters, Emme Grace and Elee Ana.
Replacing Elrod at the Rockmart Branch as manager is Blaine Kirby. A native of Rome, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from Tusculum College, and completed a Consumer Lending School in Wisconsin in 2006.
Kirby came to Coosa Valley Credit Union from Heritage Credit Union in Madison, Wisc., and was previously a mortgage specialist.
He and wife Ashley reside in Rome with three children, Addi, Braxton and Ella Kate.
