The Berry College softball team swept a conference doubleheader on Saturday against Rhodes. The Vikings won game one, 4-0, and then took the second game, 8-0, in five innings.
The Vikings improved to 11-5 and 4-2 in the Southern Athletic Association. The Lynx fell to 1-13-1 and 0-4-1.
In the opener, Berry scored three runs in the first inning and cruised to the win. Sarah Moore had an RBI double in the first inning, and Marie Collop hit a solo home run in the fifth.
Allie Coronado (3-1) earned the complete-game shutout allowing four hits and striking out one.
In the nightcap, Kassie Howard (7-1) earned the shutout in the five-inning game. Howard allowed one hit and struck out four.
Moore, Kylie Aiken and Allison DeBusk each had two hits. Elizabeth Fedirici hit a home run.
The teams play another doubleheader today at noon.
