The Latest Local News from the Cedartown Standard
Students who need a free, safe place to log on to the internet to do their school assignments, or elementary students who need a little help or encouragement with homework are welcomed each Monday and Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Camp Antioch.
Students needing to log on the internet will need to bring their own or school issued electronic devices. Parents or guardians will need to fill out a permission/emergency information sheet for students the first time they come.
A parent or other responsible adult must wait at the camp while elementary children work. All students must be picked up or leave the camp by 6 p.m. All chaperones/volunteers working with students have passed criminal background checks and are considered “child safe”, caring adults.
The Study Center is located at Polk Haralson Christian Life “Camp Antioch”, 3900 Antioch Road, Cedartown, just across from Antioch Baptist Church and at the intersection of Antioch, Morgan Valley, and Hightower Falls Roads. The Polk School District calendar for holidays and weather/emergency related closings will be followed. For more information call Janice Stewart at 770-846-7760 or email cutlog@bellsouth.net
