Claire Rosenberg scored three goals and had two assists as the Berry College women’s lacrosse team defeated Illinois Wesleyan, 15-4, on Sunday.
The victory was the fifth straight for Berry (5-1) and the fifth straight time the Vikings have scored 15 goals. Illinois Wesleyan dropped to 3-1.
The visiting Titans took an early 2-1 lead with 26:41 remaining in the first half. The Vikes, however, tallied the next seven goals and held an 8-2 edge at the break.
Kelsey McAnnally netted four goals and caused five Titan turnovers in the win. Kim Fischer scored twice and forced six of Berry’s 24 forced turnovers. Savannah Robar tallied once and dished two assists for the home team.
The Vikings led in shots (36-9), ground balls (20-9), and draw controls (11-10).
Berry’s Tori Alexander stopped four shots and moved to 5-1 on the year. Claire Quist recorded 14 saves for Illinois Wesleyan.
The Vikings play St. Andrews in Orlando, Florida, on Thursday at 4 p.m.
