Rome man accused of stealing over $21,000 from game machine at gas station

A Rome man remained in jail without bond after being accused of stealing money from a game machine at Hi-Tech Fuel, according to Floyd County Jail records.


According to reports:


Nathaniel M. Harper Jr., 47, of 827 South Broad St., was arrested Wednesday at 11:06 p.m. at Hi-Tech Fuel at 1324 Martha Berry Boulevard.


Harper is accused of stealing $21,975 over a period of five days from a locked game machine. Harper was seen on store video opening the machine and removing the money.


Harper was charged with one felony count of theft.
