On Sunday UAH earned the series win against Shorter with a 3-1 victory.
Shorter jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the third inning on a single from Maggie Meacham. UAH answered in the fourth to tie the game on an error, and then took the lead and the win with two runs in the sixth for the 3-1 final score.
Maddie Bray took the loss for Shorter; turning in three innings in relief, allowing three runs on two hits with three strikeouts.
The Lady Hawks face Armstrong State on the road in a doubleheader Tuesday.
