Fourteen Shorter track and field student-athletes were named to the Peach Belt Conference All-Academic Team, the conference announced this week. The Lady Hawks placed eight members to the list, while the Hawks had six honorees.
To be eligible for All-Academic recognition the student-athlete must have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher, completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution, reached sophomore athletic eligibility, and completed in at least half of the team’s events as a starter or significant reserve.
For the Lady Hawks Anelise Aldana, Emily Buwalda, Desitiny Jenkins, Zandra Lake, Ashley Logan, Madison Sears, Leah Sikorski, and Ayana Walker earned All-Academic honors. Jordan Cross, Joshua Jenkins, Bradley Moon, Cody Moore, Gregory Roachford, and Wake Roberds earned the honor for the Hawks.
