The Cherokee County Commission meets at 10 a.m. in the Cherokee County Administration Building. The work session begins at 9 a.m.

In high school baseball action, Cherokee County plays at Fort Payne, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and Cedar Bluff plays at Piedmont beginning at 4:30 p.m. In high school softball action, Sand Rock plays at Spring Garden beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The Cherokee County Chapter of the University of Alabama National Alumni Association invites all alumni, fans and friends to the 2015 Annual Alumni Banquet with Guest Speaker Eli Gold, “Radio Voice for the Crimson Tide.” The banquet is scheduled for Monday, April 13, at 6 p.m., in the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce Meeting Room on the campus of Gadsden State Community College-Cherokee, 801A Cedar Bluff Road in Centre. Cost is $20 per person and $10 per child 12 years or under.
