Vikings women’s lacrosse downs Huntingdon, 16-11

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Led by Clara Bissell’s four goals, the Berry College women’s lacrosse team defeated Huntingdon College, 16-11, on Tuesday night.


The win improves the Vikes to 9-6.


With two of her four goals coming in the first half, Bissell led the Berry offense to an early 8-4 lead going into the second half.


Claire Rosenberg and Angelica Miller each added three goals in the win as well. Rosenberg added three assists against the Hawks, and Miller passed two on the night.


Kim Fischer and Kelsey McAnnally tallied twice for Berry. Savannah Robar and Kim Slade rounded off the Vikings’ offense with one goal each.


Tori Alexander earned the win in the goal for Berry, collecting four saves in the victory.


The Vikings will play at Millsaps in their next game on Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m. in the SAA Quarterfinals.
